 About Us
Andrew and Tracy received their Master’s Degrees in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1991. Tracy is also credentialed as a Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor. Tracy and Andrew have worked in a variety of psychiatric, school, and children’s home settings since 1990. They began working in private practice in 1993 and opened McConaghie Family Counseling in 2000. Their professional memberships include the National Association of Social Workers, the Association for Play Therapy, the Positive Discipline Association, the Georgia Society for Adlerian Psychology, and the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia. Andrew and Tracy have been married since 1988 and have two children.

Katie Pinholster holds a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University. She completed her internship at Odyssey Family Counseling Center where she served clients of all ages including those seeking couple's or family counseling services. Katie is trained in teaching the STEP method for effective parenting skills, and in conducting sessions aimed at helping people achieve successful anger management skills. In addition, she has received specialized training in play therapy techniques for children, and is skilled in utilizing creative art techniques with older children and adolescents. Katie has a particular affinity for connecting with adolescents in a genuine, authentic way that helps them work through family, peer, and academic issues during what can often be a challenging developmental stage of life. Katie's other areas of expertise include assisting people in overcoming problems with eating disorders and substance use.
